• In the third book of the Texas Rascals Nick and Michelle have gone undercover for their job. They are posing as a newly married couple at a ranch in Rascal, Texas. They are to uncover the culprits in horse doping at the Triple Fork Stables. Nick and Michelle have a real love/hate relationship. They are both stubborn as mules and independent. Michelle thinks Nick is also controlling and has quite the ego.
  
  Michelle was brought up around horses and knows and loves everything about them. In her opinion this is the perfect job for her. She and Nick are hired by the ranch as a husband and wife team to be the ranch manager and cook for the crew. That is where they really tangle. Because she knows so much about horses, Michelle feels she should be the manager and let Nick do the cooking. Well, you can just imagine how Nick feels about that. He is none too pleased and he vetoes that idea right away. And that is how their story begins.
  
  Together they are funny, sarcastic, stubborn and yet there is a fire burning inside each of them. They have had their walls up for so long they do not know how to handle the fire and if they even should do anything about it. This is a wonderful story of love with some suspense thrown in. I loved every minute of this book and look forward to what Lori Wilde has in store next.
• As a long-time reader of Lori Wilde books, I was somewhat disappointed in the Texas Rascals series so far, BUT mainly because the story and characters were not as developed s in Ms. Wilde's longer books. I enjoyed the development of Nick and Michele, but I wanted MORE! Plot action was clear and exciting. The two main characters were a good contrast. This series is what I call "short and sweet" in that the two main characters were well presented, but the story needed to be filled out. In particular the secondary characters like Elvira. Jim and even the evil vet needed more purpose and development. Tossing Michele's parents to help her see reason seemed contrived. I will continue with the seies for a "quick" read and look forward to many more Lori Wilde books.
• How in the world would two stubborn people like Nick and Michele work together on the case? Especially when they were paired to be undercover husband and wife. Delve into nick's book, fall into a racing horse scam and come out with the answers only these two could find.
• I thought this book in this wonderful series was fantastic. You could feel the love and the compassion between Nick and Michelle. Loved the suspense. Ms. Wilde is a great story teller and I can't wait for the next book in this series.
• Lori has varied plots in her books. This shows how people hide behind their fears and can cheat themselves out of the joys of life. People should stop and realize that possibly God who knows what is best for us is the one who is pushing us towards the right one for us.
• Good story about under cover cops, pretend man and wife team, on a ranch looking for horse doping. Had some exciting moments to it but I gave it 3 stars because there was just too much description of repetitious feelings.
• These two were hilarious with their non-stop bickering, and one- upmanship. This story was paced paced, and so much fun to read. Both characters were stubborn, opinionated, funny, but it was the undeniable heat that slowly grew between these two, that kept it really interesting.
• The story keeps your attention & is a nice addition to Lori's Texas rascal's book series. Both characters are interesting, the hero is smart, sarcastic and the story flows from start to finish. A funny, romantic read and I look forward to the next addition of the Texas rascal series.
